The Springfield Farmers’ Market was started in 2010 with the help of Springfield on the Move. In 2017, the Market established itself as a vendor-run 501 c3, with the goal of growing and promoting local agriculture and commerce, and providing a safe environment for family-friendly fun.
The Market provides seasonal local produce, artisan bread, meats, eggs, honey and maple products, crafts, homemade pies, and other prepared foods, with live music in a safe family-friendly setting from June till October.
Outdoor Markets are held rain or shine at 280 Clinton Street from 10 AM till 1 PM every Saturday from June till October. This is the grassy area at the head of the Toonerville Trail. The last outdoor Market of the season is part of the VT Apple Festival and is held at Riverside Middle School on Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend in October.
